Year One
Month 1-3
The Digital World
Introductory module exploring the synergies between technology, business, and leadership through interactive sessions on relevant topics.
Month 3-4
Programming Foundations
Programming fundamentals, data handling and analytics, visualisation techniques, control flow and logic, functions and modularity, data structures, algorithms.
Month 4-6
Introduction to Cyber and Networks
Cybersecurity principles, including common threats, vulnerabilities, and network foundations. Practical skills to identify, analyse, and mitigate security threats.
Month 6
Professional Practice
Develops career and personal skills, including emotional intelligence, creative thinking, personal branding, corporate social responsibility, and digital literacy.
Month 7-8
Analytical Problem Solving
Essential analytical techniques and tools, including modelling and statistical concepts.
Month 10-12
Professional Pathways in Cyber Security
To explore and understand the duties, opportunities and challenges of cybersecurity roles through an immersive role playing campaign framework
Year Two
Month 13-16
Secure Data-Driven Solutions
Experience of each of the stages of the software development lifecycle. A number of cases will be explored to demonstrate a variety of approaches, and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each approach.
Month 17-20
Defensive Programming
Write, test, and debug programs in various programming languages while understanding and applying secure programming principles.
Month 18
Professional Practice
Develops leadership and professional skills, including negotiation, building high-performance teams, influencing others, and managing risk.
Month 18-21
Designing Secure Networks
Design, build, and secure complex network systems, while understanding the underlying principles of network foundations, operating systems, and cryptographic key management.

How organisations function, including digital domain and the organisation’s environment. It will also address how digital advances are disrupting business and supporting societal goals.
Year Three
Month 24-27
Strategic Cyber Security
Strategic cyber security, focusing on risk management, legal and regulatory frameworks, and human dimensions. Develop and implement security policies, conduct risk assessments, and design cyber security awareness initiatives to protect organisational assets.
Month 28-31
Ethical Hacking and Security Monitoring
Analyse and mitigate cyber threats, apply legal and ethical standards, and ensure cyber security assurance through structured intelligence analysis and ethical hacking.
Month 31-33
Cyber Physical Systems
Cyber security, in terms of threats, mitigations and design implications, for complex domains such as cyber physical systems, autonomous vehicles, and distributed systems.
Month 33-36
Professional Project
Plan, research and deliver a complex, workplace-relevant, technical project related to their programme of study, supported by a curriculum of applied academic skills to develop individuals for the technical expectations of the workplace.
Month 36-42
Apprenticeship Assessment
A practical assessment demonstrating ability to apply cyber security knowledge and technical skills to real-world scenarios (four 12-hour tests). A technical discussion supported by a portfolio, demonstrating application of cyber security, risk management, problem-solving and professional skills.
