How do I recruit an apprentice?

Start by getting in touch with our  team. We’ll discuss your business needs, help you identify the right apprenticeship programme and guide you through creating and promoting your vacancy. You’ll then interview and select the candidate who is right for your organisation.

Can I choose my own apprentice?

Yes. As the employer, you’ll be involved in the recruitment process and will interview and select the candidate you want to employ.

How long does recruitment take?

Timescales can vary depending on the apprenticeship, vacancy and candidate availability. We’d recommend that you use apprenticeship service account to promote your vacancy.

Do I need to have recruited an apprentice before?

No. Apprenticeships are open to employers of all levels of experience. Whether this is your first apprentice or you already have an established programme, we can guide you through the process.

How much does it cost to employ an apprentice?

The cost depends on factors such as the apprentice’s salary and your organisation’s circumstances. Apprenticeship training may be funded in full or in part depending on the employer and programme. We can explain the current funding arrangements and any applicable costs.
