Month 1-3
Managing in the Digital World
Develops skills in technology, business, and leadership, teaches systems thinking for management, and fosters teamwork and problem-based learning.
Month 3-6
Introduction to Project Management
Foundational understanding of how projects are initiated, planned, and executed. Key elements such as the project lifecycle stages, the development and purpose of a strong business case, and effective planning and methodologies.
Month 6
Professional Practice
Develops career and personal skills, including emotional intelligence, creative thinking, personal branding, corporate social responsibility, and digital literacy.
Month 7-10
Organisational Systems
Business function through their strategy, structure, and culture. KPIs, and an overview of supply chains, production management, IT, data, and cash flow.
Month 11-12
AI Enabled Project Management
Explores the use of AI in managing projects, focusing on ethical considerations, alignment with sustainable business goals, and AI-driven processes. It also covers strategic planning for effective AI integration in project environments.
Year Two
Month 13-16
Change Leadership in Project Management
Deconstructing organisational change projects, exploring agile models in change management, and evaluating the risks associated with significant transformations.
Month 17-20
Risk, Quality and Governance
Examines governance frameworks, project controls, and strategies for risk monitoring and quality management, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and responsibly.

Professional Practice
Develops leadership and professional skills, including negotiation, building high-performance teams, influencing others, and managing risk
Month 18-21
Digital Business and New Technologies
Examine how technology improves operations, assess emerging technologies, and understand technology’s role in driving innovation. Explore ethical and governance challenges and effective management of technological advancements in organisations.

Project Finance
Covers key financial aspects of project management, including cost estimating, budgeting, and managing financial risk and control to ensure project financial stability.

Month 24-27
Data-driven Leadership
Master process management and improvement, dashboard creation, and data analysis. Use data to drive business performance and develop compelling, data-driven narratives to lead high-performing teams and support effective decision making.

Complex Projects and Programmes
Explores the management of complex projects across various industries, focusing on project setup, health monitoring, and intervention strategies to ensure success.

Professional Practice in Project Management
Allows learners to apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours learned towards their professional practice qualifications. It supports the development of a strong professional identity through engagement with industry standards, ethical practices and professional bodies.
Month 34-39
Apprenticeship Assessment
A substantial work-based project addressing a genuine organisational challenge or opportunity. Evidence of the apprentice’s application of project management, leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Assessment of the project and the apprentice’s ability to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs).
